Summer Practice

Internships aim to introduce students to the application areas of the design discipline, to grasp the collaborations established with other professional groups in business life, and to experience the professional working environment and principles individually. Internships are as important as the courses in the curriculum in terms of their contribution to the learning outcomes that should have been acquired throughout the undergraduate education. Internship process provides students with the opportunity to use and develop the knowledge, skills and competencies they have acquired in the courses in real practice contexts of the business world. During the undergraduate education in our department, it is obligatory to do two different internships, one in the design office and the other in the production units. During the production internship, each student learns the different aspects of the manufacturing process in a particular sector, while in the office internship, they witness and contribute to the entire design process from the embryo to the product.
